The Home in Bali - Villa Kayu, Canggu

As promised a few words about the home in Bali...

Villa Kayu is in the middle of the ricefields and 5 minutes away from the Canggu Beach... the owners an Australian-French couple created a unique atmosphere for all the visitors living together as a big happy family..


 We all have our own little bungalows, like mine next to the pool. This ensures the privacy you need... even if you are not really alone. Living so close to nature you really get used to the funny sound of the gecko living just above your bed, the lizards running all across the wall, the frogs singing in chores next to the pool, and the birds, bats and all sorts of other noises, the sound of nature... no worries it is not freaky... it feels absolutely natural... positive!

The best is my bathroom, I love it, it feels like you have your shower right in the jungle. You may sing as loud as you want, nobody will hear it. More precisely no humans would hear it, other living creatures may join in though... :)

The funniest is that I am writing this blog from that red bamboo couch you see on the above picture... yeah, yeah incredible the power of internet.

And this is the main house where you can hang out with the other members of the Villa Kayu community. Some people stay for a few nights others are here for weeks and you also find people staying here for long months... all peacefully watching a movie together, staring at the laptops, or chatting with a bintang  (local beer) in the hand.

So do not worry about me I am just at the right place... :)
